What SkinMD is
SkinMD is a clinical documentation tool. The capture app, the portal, and the dermatoscope are designed to help licensed clinicians photograph, label, and store dermatology images as part of a patient record. SkinMD is not a diagnostic device and does not provide medical advice.
Your account
You are responsible for your credentials and for the activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately. Accounts are provisioned by your clinic's admin; you should not share your password with anyone, including other clinicians at your practice.
Clinical responsibility
Diagnosis, treatment, and the content of every patient record remain the responsibility of the licensed clinician. SkinMD does not modify, interpret, or sign off on the records you create.
Acceptable use
You agree not to upload images that are not part of a clinical record, not to attempt to access records outside your clinic, and not to reverse-engineer the capture app or dermatoscope firmware.
Hardware warranty
The dermatoscope is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from delivery. Optical components are warranted against delamination and image degradation for the same period. Damage from drops, liquid ingress, or disassembly is not covered.
Service availability
We target 99.5% uptime for the portal and capture sync, measured monthly. We do our best to keep the service available, but clinical records should never depend solely on a cloud service — keep your own export.
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. On termination, your access is revoked and your clinic may export records for up to 90 days, after which the data is deleted per our retention policy.
